  • This is delicious. Ripe but not overripe, good acidity, and barrel character lightly and perfectly integrated.

  • Pale golden yellow.
Great nose of pineapple, ripe apples, and subtle oak.
Slightly viscous mouth feel, good acidity, lemon, apples and creme brûlée, a little oak on the finish with nuts and limes.
Excellent Chardonnay from Bill, not too much oak (30%?), partial ML (50%?). Drinking well now but has acidity to go a couple more years.

  • REALLY doing well. Still have a few of these left, and I really like where these are going. Kistler-esque quality of minerality, great salinity and acidic bite on the palate. The nose still has more of a floral character, whereas the palate really goes more to mature yellow fruits. Very structured wine. I am going to try to hold on to the other 3 for the next year or so, but my lack of willpower will probably all have them gone by the next 6 months now that I know how they're drinking. Drink now or hold 1-2 years for optimum drinking. Previous 93 is right on the money.

  • Sangiacomo chard. 100% delicious. Singing now. Oh the acidity! This has a full bodied mouthfeel, mouth coating stuff. Wow the yellow stone ground fruits are just all over the place here. Herbal middle with bright acidity still. I am getting some lychee and Asian pear notes here in addition to peach flesh. Really delicious stuff. Have a couple more of these and fortunately ordered another few on a whim without even trying one. This will be a crowd pleaser wine and the QPR is absolutely ridiculous here. Enjoyed alongside an 18 Aubert Carneros and this one definitely had more personality even after a couple of hours and after warming up and oxidizing. Well done WH Wines!
