Toasty nose of bitter toffeed grape. Same bitter toffeed grape on palate, with salinity and bitter citrus building in midpalate and running to a surprisingly strong finish of considerable dryness, delicious bitterness, and mineral. "Surprisingly strong" in the finish mostly because mousse on the first day at least had been a bit flimsy. Another great champagne buy.

Finally got round to trying this producer, two free glasses tipped me over the edge. Smart presentation. Fairly shrunken cork. Pale straw colour. Pleasant, quite intense aroma, with apple, pear, a mature caramel note and some peach. Similar flavour profile with a good backbone of apple, but it's quite taut, almost ungenerous with a finish that almost approaches bitterness. It's pretty good, but I'd hope it would improve with more bottle age. [Cork + cage; 12.5% abv; Nickolls & Perks, £30 including 2 branded glasses].

Smells great. In the Cote de Bar. Settled in the 1660s. 100% Pinot Noir. Elegant and fresh, 3 years on the lees and then 6 months in bottle. Super tasty elegant, delicious.
