Bought 4b for 12/b from WTSO a year ago; this is #1. Dark purple; fragrant mature purple fruit, some tartness; mature fruit, briary, some richness, good mouthfeel. Held some for 24h under vacuvin with no loss of enjoyment. Very good everyday Zin, glad to have more. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. Quality, price, age: Notable+.

I agree with JDKRABBE's tasting notes. Definitely a harsh, stemmy characteristic upon pnp, which fades after some air. Anticipated something better from a PR Zin. Not bad, but won't purchase again.

I thought that this wine was terrible. I thought that it being from Paso Robles and 5 years old it would have been better. I tried adding 7UP to it like my father did when we were growing up" children's wine" for family Christmas meals would help. It did not. It tasted too young and not full bodied like most Zins. Since I hate to waste alcohol I will try and make Sangria out of the other 3 bottles I have.

PnP - initially a tad dumb and flavors muddled. Came alive after 15-20 minutes to reveal lots of raspberries with some vanilla and spices. Sweet fruit and mild tannins on the finish. Excellent QPR. Seems to be at peak. If I had more I'd give it a short decant
