Reminded me of how I fell in love with Bourgogne way back when. More Burgundian savory than New World fruit. Decanting for two hours brings out the more complex notes. Crimson. 12% ABV. Medium intensity. Freshness and lift in the nose combined with red fruit, cherry, and raspberry, more tea than earth, no spice. Medium + acidity, red fruit, mild clove, nice silky mouth-filling texture and at the same time light on its feet, with a light kick of tannin in the delicious, balanced finish. A fine example of a Bourgogne Village cru.

A little earthy dimension. But the palate is softer and more easy going than the Marsannay before it. And has a little more kernel to the palate, for a seemingly more expensive tasting wine.
1996 purchased by Boisset, both purchased grapes and purchased finished wine.
