I really liked this wine. My wife really loved it. I'm now on a mission to add more to the cellar. There is something really honest, artistic, and rustic going on here. I believe this to be unfiltered and unfined. Do not be put off by the slightly cloudy red appearance. It's great. Lighter in flavor than in color, it has a gorgeous nose a little bit reminiscent of a 1998 Chateau Musar. There is a dusty, earthy, super ripe strawberry/raspberry profile with a touch of oxidation that is just fabulous. I was looking for a pinot from Oregon that could remind me of a burgundy. Instead I found a pinot from Oregon that showcases why Oregon is on the map in the first place.

These are some of my favorite Berserkerday wines! This is striking, with pretty red fruit, that is generous, and lively, and the 80% whole cluster is shining through, adding sweet red clay perceptions, Vosne/Anderson Valley spices, and a pleasant earthiness, minerality. This is a great food wine, I really like it!
