  • As might be hoped for a wine closed with a screwcap, this 15 year old wine remains in excellent shape. Opaque inch pour, refreshingly acidic, generously fruity, and still has an undertow of well integrated tannin. Overall a fine example of how Australia can make a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mouvedre that is competitive in quality with the great GSMs from the Rhone River Valley in France.

  • Opaque with an inch pour. Intense and delicious fruit well structured by refreshing acidity and ample tannin. At 13 years old, amazingly bright, vivid, and energetic, with zero deterioration after being opened and tasted for 14 days. Superb with a wide range of food. Overall, an excellent example of why Australia is rightly famous for both the quality and affordability of its Rhone blends of Grenache, Syrah, and Mouvedre. Very pleased I have more bottles left.

  • This wine exemplifies a type of wine that Australia is rightly famous for, which is fruit everywhere. If the structure of a wine is what everything else fits into, then what structures this wine is the fruit, which fills the nose, mouth, and aftertaste. Fruit that is big, deep, complex, and delicious. The fruit various includes red and black raspberry and cherry, plus plum and blackberry. Under the fruit is acidity, which gives brightness and freshness to the fruit, and keeps the fruit from being too sweet. Also under the fruit are tannins, which keep the fruit from being flabby. On the 5th day open, the wine developed a small touch of stewed tomato. So, remaining bottles should probably be consumed in the next 4 years, and finished by the 3rd day open.

  • Very good for an Aussie GSM. Prominent rasberry and ink flavors. Full bodied but fairly well balanced. Good wine.
