Very good, definitely on the strong, fuller side for a Pinot Noir. Nose is brimming with fruit, with notes of sweet, yeasty grape must, red grape juice, and blueberries. Initial palate is immediately strong with notes of dark berries, red grapes, and oak. That oakiness takes center stage at the finish, with an oaky aftertaste that reveals its barrel-aged nature, resembling varietals much more fuller-bodied. Aeration makes it gain a light 'bite', but it is easy to overdo it and it'll become vinegary if so. Genuinely a big surprise, got it as a free bottle from Bonner Private Wines, and it is genuinely exceptional.
