  • Smoky top note followed by apricot and hints of tropical fruit along with herbal undertones. Rich and complex across the palate with an oily texture easily lifted by its freshness. The finish is long and layered with a distinct white pepper note and pithy bitter flavours that add to its charm.

  • Prior bottle was 8 months ago and my notes were very similar. Spices, earth, citrus and soft, white orchard fruit notes on the nose. Medium bodied with the same mix of white/yellow apple and pear upfront, adding white peach through the middle. Mid-body shows a lot of openness and roundness, but remains backed with citrus notes, tart qualities and acidity, such that it felt fresh and expressive. The mid-body fruit and the structural qualities behind have continued to integrate nearly exactly as I'd hoped. Based on consistent notes, feels like this wine is at peak, but in a fashion it should be able to maintain for another 12 months or so. This is a great wine for current drinking as additional cellar time is unlikely to lead to additional positive evolution. As my last bottle, pleased it could go out on another high note!

  • Still drinking wonderfully. Added texture and depth, but this remains fresh and beautiful. I am reminded that I need to drink more Timorasso!

  • At an Italian tasting. Tangy mineral with excellent length and balance.

  • Prior bottle was one year ago and this wine continues to evolve positively, along the lines I'd hoped. Soft white apple and light white peach with acidity/tartness behind on the nose. Medium bodied with essentially the same flavor profile of white apple and slightly more integrated white/yellow pear upfront, moving to white peach through the middle. The mid-body feels slightly deeper than what my prior bottle showed with slightly more expressive fruit. This is contrasted quite well with acidity, citrus and especially lemon notes behind and through the finish. Good mix of depth and tart qualities. These contrasts left the wine feeling increasingly harmonious, more integrated and better balanced. I'll plan to open my last bottle of this 2018 in November 2023 while trying my first bottle of the 2019 in June/July 2023.
