14.5% alcohol. Perfectly clean bottle of this wine. Gorgeous nose that is just classic Trenton Estate. Bright cherry, spice, and earth notes. Sumptuous and velvety on the palate. This has hit its second stage beautifully -- just glides across your tongue with juicy cherry fruit, bolstered by dusty earth and spice. Good acidity still. Long, integrated finish. Should be good to go for another 3-5 years. A

14.5% alcohol. A classic example of a wine that's avoided any pitfalls of the highly uneven 2004 vintage. Bright red color. Glorious, cherry-driven nose that is complemented by baking spice and earth. This is nothing but classic Trenton Estate. Vibrant and perfectly balanced in the mouth, with bursting, juicy fruit, baking spice, earth, and creeping hints of mushroom and dried flowers. Lively acidity and a long, smooth finish. Excellent. A

Houston Offline - Lucio's BYOG (Lucio's BYOB, Houston): VA nose which blew off quickly. After that, black cherry, cola, clove, cranberry, mushroom, and forest floor on the nose. On the palate, a little heavy, but great flavors of black cherry, cola, black tea, spice, mushroom. Finishes nice without noticeable heat. Good showing for this wine.
