Bought these bottle in 2007 , lying in my cellar up to now . Cork was ok , but half soaked . Wine colour was a little more concentrated then i remember from 2007 . Some golden hints , but clear . Nose was really fresh for the age , classic concentrated sauvignon from south Tyrol , with hints of herbal , fruits , some vegatable tones . There was no oak tone noticebel . Taste was as classic , too : Some herbs , fruits , just cremy , but at all very fresh for a 16 years old suvignon ! So i will give the wine more years for drinking ( with good cellar conditions ) . For my opinion the Quarz is nearby the Terlan raritys ( old white wines ) , which are really fantastic , but much more expensive . Drink now or the next 3 til 5 years . 92 points / 17,5 points

This needs an hour of air in a decanter to open up. It's mid gold in colour, and looks pretty mature. The nose is a bit honied with some dried citrus peel. The palate is lemon curd, dried mandarin and feels quite rich and oily while having a burst of acidity to finish , intense in flavour and quite unique, delicious. Could last longer if you like mature white wines

Beings that I am currently in an anti-Sauvignon Blanc mode (have not had one I really liked in a couple years), I was not expecting much, though I had high hopes since the 06 was amazing. Sure enough, this was very good. Very traditional in nose and taste, hay, cp, citrus. Nice and quenching.
