Moderately dark ruby with thin edges. Cracked pepper and mint upfront. Medium weight entry with black/blueberry fruit and some spice cut short by high acid, creosote, and licorice on the finish giving a thin impression on the back end. More than acceptable French Syrah but hardly stellar for or particularly recognizable as Cote Rotie.
