  • Savagnin from 15 to 20 years old vines, fermented with indigenous yeast in stainless steel, matured first for 9 to 12 months on the lees before they age an additional 3 to 4 years in barrels of different size, traditional oxidative treatment.

PnP and enjoyed over 3 days. Typical traditional Savagnin, on the nose intense with mainly curry and lovage, a touch of fresh moss and a suggestion of ripe fruits. On the palate fresh and dense with a very long, savory finish. No obvious difference on day two and three.

Oxidative Savagnin at its best and a very elegant representative, drink now or within the next two decades.

  • Nutty on the nose, lemon and candied fruit on the palate. Really interesting wine.

  • I opened the bottle and it was oxidized. I opened three more to have the same result. I will have a discussion with my wine seller. I was going to open another one as I have two more but dinner was ready so I opened a chablis which was good.
