  Opened one hour in advance. Fragrant aroma of black fruit, garden herbs, and a hint of honeysuckle. Rich, smooth flavors of blackberry and tar. Brambly notes in the finish. Intense but balanced, forward fruit, firm backbone, hearty flavors.
  
  When first opened this was harsh with a sappy sweetness, but that disappeared by the 30 minute mark as everything melded together into a beautiful wine. Excellent, and an outstanding value.

  Fantastic. This zin has the structure and presence of a high end can but pure zinfandel flavor. One of the better zins I've tasted and will clearly improve as the tannic backbone integrates.
