Blackberry and boysenberry compote with moderate vanilla, toast, clove, and very subtle woody herbs in the background. QPR is a bit low. While still full, ripe, and rich, it’s less so than others from Adelaida. Acid: M. Tannin: M+ with very little texture, but accumulates on the gums. Body: M+/Full. The structure seems to be softening without any tertiary flavors beginning to emerge. Only six years old, but this wine may (or may not) be made to be enjoyed young, and not for aging.
