Solid berry fruit, nicely structured on the finish by grainy tannins. Compared to 2017 PH Coombsville with RVH and VB: Fruit core struck me as very similar, but tannins giving this one more definition. Others felt the Hall left an initial tart impression, but thought it overtook the PH by the end of the evening.

This particular vantage needs time to open, had it open for about one hour, and it needs more like three hours. Had a great nose leaning to the musky dark Mossey almost aroma.
Would say it needs to lay down for another 3 to 5 years. Closer to the middle of the drinking window.

Still a young wine with lots of life to it. This wine is full bodied with tight tannins and beautiful fruit. Nose is charcoal and smoke and dark fruit. Flavors are very fruit forward of dark fruit with well integrated young tannins leaving a nice gripping finish with dark fruit, leather and a touch of chocolate.

Drinkable after 15 minutes, but highly recommend decanting for 2 hours to enjoy the full flavor and awesome complexity. Very fruity, but not jammy. Drink with beef, bacon, or any salty dish.

Excellent wine. Had following a steak dinner. Great nose, and opened up nicely after a little over an hour. Full bodied with lots of structure.
