medium body, garnet in color with bright red fruit, some oak on the palate, cassis, bing cherry, blood orange, a hint of menthol on the nose... the review below noting pomegranate & brown sugar is spot on... low/medium tannins, smooth to drink and a pleasant lingering finish that lasts about 20-25 seconds. I got a good deal on this through WineSlash a few years ago, maybe $35.00 and for that price it's a worthy purchase. I would not pay typical retail is for this wine ($50-60). Really good wine even though it doesn't have tremendous depth. It's ready to drink now and probably has another 3-5 years remaining in the peak window.

Really good drinker. Decanted for about 45 minutes. Dark wine. Opened up real nice after the first few drinks. An oak flavor profile was the strongest for me - particularly on the start. Nice nose. Would definitely drink again.

Excellent for the price. Cassis on the nose, blackberry and cherry and a little oak with a smooth menthol finish. A poor man’s Caymus.
