Not my favourite Nebbiolo. The first time I drank it a few years ago the tannins were too sharp and not well integrated. Now it is slightly over the hill. Rounded tannins, but also a little too much of wet old leaves in the bouquet.

Needs a few hours in a decanter before it opens up. Straight out of the bottle, rather chilled, the nose was all blood, metalgears and charcuterie. On the palate much the same, metallic, with tannins that leaves your mouth dry. Lean, the fruit all tied up, medium acidity.
After a few hours that charcuterie is still there but now some shy plums reveal themselves, and some wet autumn leaves on the nose. On the palate the wine opens up a little bit, red fruit and peppercorn start to emerge and blends well with the tannins.
I should have opened the bottle in the morning and let it soak in air until evening.
Left some in a small bottle in the fridge for ~4 days. It came out smooth and fruity, very drinkable and a completely different wine! My remaining bottle is going to be left alone for a few years, for sure!
