  • Still incredibly live and vibrant. The nose is intense and evolves perfectly during the evening (I opened the bottle about 1,5 hrs before first pour). From black and red fruits down to more leathery and terziary notes. Very well balanced. The tasty is a full bodied complex wine, where the tannins are still grippy and the acidity is well integrated. The long finish closes it perfectly. It can last at least other five to six years in my opinion.

  • Open for about 3 hours. Brought this to an Italian restaurant where they gave us the crappiest wine glasses you could imagine (think coupe). Asked for better glasses and they looked at me like I was crazy. Had to endure drinking this wine out of those which is why I don't feel like its fair to give a rating. However when I opened this the nose was complex with red, black fruits, coffee bean, menthol, orange peel, vanilla. The palate was good from what I could tell with decent concentration and length, although seemed a lot more one dimensional out of those glasses. Gentle acid and some fine grained tannins on the finish. At least a 92 pt wine but looking to revisit this with better glasses at some point.

  • Grand vin indeed; intense, vibrant, red fruit galore and a harbal character as well; very well balanced with depth and layers. Has years to go. Under coravin for 3 years, is it then further ahead than it otherwise would be? No clue ...

  • A big wine that needs a long decant or more time in bottle. Still, after four hours of air, it was delicious and complex, with notes of leather, dark cherry, and tobacco.
