Community Tasting Notes (10) Avg Score: 87.8 points

  • VERY dark for a Nebbiolo, brownish rim. Good nose w oak, mint, fried mushrooms, cherries, tar. Almost full bodied, plenty of tannins and acidity, cherry fruit. Plenty of oak. Medium aftertaste w alcohol, dried-out fruits. Lots of taste, though, but nothing refined. Wouldn't keep it much longer. Not your typical Barolo from La Morra, much more powerful.

  • very youthful at opening with high acidty, tough tannic structure and a certain fruit confit and high alcohol feeling. too tough in my taste. after 3-4 hours in a carafe and slightly chilled, the wine became far more harmonious, smooth and complex with floral notes and nice fruit concentration. still underdeveloped in my view. I would keep it cellared for another 3-10 years

  • Red with a brown rim. Excellent nose with roses, some mushroom, truffles, licorice, dark berries.. Distinct but well balanced oak. Velvety tannins and well balanced acidity. Excellent bottle. Saved some and had a glass the day after and it was even betters.

  • I think I have to agree with Mr T. The wine doesn't give away much but what it gives away to me is a touch of roses, earth and a beginning of a hint of autumn leaves, slightly perfumed directly on opening but the sweet aromas of nebbiolo are missing!
Vanilla flavours are present and maybe a bit oaky? The Fruit is not quite there but the tannins are, they are still a bit harsh, even a bit dominating at least without food. Maybe give another 2-4 years and see...A decent wine and about what could be expected. 85-86p.
Poured over half the bottle and drank after 24h. Slightly better more aromas emerge so upping the score to 88

  • A dark quite oaky wine. Where are the nebbiolo scents? But good as a barbeque wine.
