{Bought on release; perfect fill, sound cork} Beaune (rather lean) red fruit to start, good palate depth, significantly improved over 3 hours, very satisfying wine. At 3 hours was struck by how much the fruit had become more generous and less austere from opening. Last bottle was ~ a year ago and this bottle was both a bit more approachable and better. Still improving.

A bolder pinot noir with a medium ruby colour. The medium intensity on the nose has notes of red cherry, plum, cassis, some nutmeg, tobacco and strangely, a hint of band-aid. The body is heavier for a pinot, on the medium side with fresh acidity that shines over the soft tannins. It is on the higher alcohol end for a pinot noir (13.5%) and has surprisingly intense flavours. Juicy red cherries, cranberry, cassis, some oak, bay leaf and dried leaves are on the palate with a beautiful long finish with discrete notes of vanilla. A very nice expressive and dynamic wine!

A most enjoyable wine to share with a couple of friends. Excellent bouquet, a nice very long finish. Didn’t provide enough time after decanting… it improved greatly as the hour we spent drinking it passed.

Elegant and clear, with savory red fruit and a hint of forest-y underbrush, very long finish that only deepens with air.

Decanted for 30-45 min. Quite balance with loads of fruit, wood, some smoke. Simple and straightforward. Ready to drink
