Very ripe red fruit, medium tannins, cedar notes. Very exctracted, medium acidity. Starts to fade, probably better a few years back but still drinkable.

This begins as a bowl full of plums that is redolent of a ripe Syrah from the Rhone, but evetually develops some of the earthier and woody qualities of Pomerol. Fruit is very foward on the nose and teases the palate, but there is reticence here that extends to the second characteristics. Decent acidity but very little in the way of tannins. To me this suggests a lack of balance. One to drink up, but perfectly good with casseroles if you give it a good few hours in the decanter.

Brilliant purple red color. Ran it through the Vinturi aerator. Smell of black currants, earth. Initially tasted more like a grenache based cotes du rhone than a merlot based wine.. It eventually opened up to resemble a pomerol with a full fruity body, polished tannins, nuances of pencil lead, leather and round off with a medium finish. Lacking in complexity in the mid palate though. Still signs of 3-5 years ahead. Will wait a couple of years before opening the next bottle.

Excellent taste, body, and smell. Makes me wish I could have sourced a few more in Strassbourg.

Generic French wine with a whiff of rubber. Not great.
