Slow-oxed 3 hours prior to dinner in Burg glasses & btl. The deeper ruby color may result from the new oak treatment. Its darker than many Rosso. Nose has masking oak but get a slight whiff of floral berries. There is above average concentration for Rosso but currently the acidity is way out front making this feel more than a bit prickly. Also the 14.5% alc leaves some heat on the finish. I think, the new French oak 225L barrels might be somewhat larger than those typically used for BDX and cabernet but still too much in play for my liking. My last sips around 7-1/2 hrs later were slightly mellower w/ some tasty cherry & licorice starting to pop through the oak. From time to time I ask my local shop what Rossos are available and have him get me one to try. Try I have, repeat I won't. This could improve substantially with 5-10yrs more btl age but I'm not motivated to find out. Paid $32 on sale.

Light to medium red; mellow nose with gentle red fruit, a bit of licorice; light somewhat acidic / sour attack, followed by medium tannins, nice sharpness makes it a good companion to pizza

This is great but not quite ready. Somewhat tannic. Good fruit. Would wait 2-3 years still
