  • Tasted along with the Lamoreau Landing virtual happy hour. Tasted next to the Yellow Dog and Round Rock vineyard bottlings.
The nose here is more expressive than the Yellow Dog, with apple and a hint of sweet tangerine. This wine has the highest pH of the 3 and I'd say it's detectable. That said, the acid is still ripping as you would expect from this type of wine. It's also the highest alcohol and the bottle with the highest RS. So I would deduce that this started with the ripest fruit of the 3. The winery team also said this saw some skin contact with a cold soak, and thus has the fullest body and mouthfeel. Color was a shade darker than the others as well. So while this is still mostly a food wine, it's standing well on its own as I write this note.
