Upon opening, there was concern whether the bottle was cellared properly; the nose was closed, showing minimal fruit and mild herbal and earthy notes, but after decanting and waiting 15 minutes those doubts were laid to rest. Baked blackberry pie and spices came through on the bouquet, developing hints of gasoline and game meat. Full-bodied, the wine enveloped the palate with concentrated fruit and perfectly balanced tannins - firm but sensual. Effortless transition from the palate to the finish with layers of leather, mineral, and persistent dark fruit. Wonderfully crafted and seamless from beginning to end. Consumed over 5 hour and beautiful with every minute. A genuine delight and reward for those patient enough to wait.

Delicious Montepulciano that shows rich dark fruit - crushed blackberries, sliced black plums, black cherries, damp earth and herbs from the nose through to the moderate-length, 35+s finish. With an hour in a decanter, the wine became more expressive and is into its early drinking window. Drink now-2015.

Dark purple. Medium fruit nose. Full mouthfeel, nice balance, blueberry with a nice bitter edge, Moderate tannins with a good, moderate finish.
