Pale yellow hue. Aromas of apricot, citrus, dried fruit, peach, and rose petal. Medium body with medium-minus acidity. Semi-sweet and a short finish. Very accessible.

This wine has a pale light yellow/beige colour. Fresh aromas of citrus, apple and hints of Jasmin and lychee. A soft mouse on a sweet core that is nicely balanced out by some fresh acidity. This wine made me think: "so once Moscato d'Asti actually seemed like a good idea".

Some unusual options selected by Douglas Blyde (Il Borro): Sweet apricot, petillant. Luscious and full. Very young, delicate. Hawthorne, honey, acacia. Fermentation stopped before it reached dryness. Clearly a great example of the style, just not sure how much it speaks to me. Served with pear and parma ham, peaches and almonds.

Quest to complete my tasting of all DOCG of Italy; 6/5/2020-8/31/2020 (Home in NL and holiday home in Maremma / Italy): So there you have it: I found a Moscato d'Asti that is actually worth writing a TN on!
Or rather, Magdy Lamei from Il Bacchino in Massa Marittima found it for me as part of his help on my quest to try and taste all DOCG of Italy.
