A private (second) lunch (Restaurant Rijks *, Amsterdam, NL): Made of 70% En l’Ormeau (east of the village) and 30% Les Casse-Têtes (on the hill just below Les Clous), 6,820 bottles produced. Incredible tension and minerality for such a warm vintage, huge energy, matchstick nose, tightly wound style, flowers and lemon and orange, very intense and exciting, perfectly judged oak, lovely drive and length. Transcends its village status in every respect - except for its complexity.

La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Small La Paulee glass. Packed with apple and pear with great concentration for its level. Needs time for more layers to emerge, but very tasty right now.
