Not my style, if blind I don't know I'd have said White Burg, reminded me of white Rhone more than anything...there are plenty of ripe-ish but still balanced white burgundies out there, this is not one of them for my taste.

Pure white peach and preserved lemon fruits. Perhaps a suggestion of fig too. There's hint of honey development. The palate is full and rich, with nice minerally detail. It finishes with excellent cut and citrus and saline mineral notes linger.

pale lemon color, ripe nose with lemon custard and light mineral notes, on the palate very ripe and tending toward the tropical on the primary fruit, a bit heavy, moderate finish, pretty in its way and with the material to evolve but whether it is producer or vintage or both- this is a bit atypical, my first encounter with this producer.
***, ready to go but will hold and evolve to some degree I expect.

Lunch at Batard: Extra blind bottle courtesy of Louis. Noticeably riper with more tropical fruit than the previous two wines, I thought this was a 2018 Chassagne. Good value before but seems like JMV's prices are heading up too.
