Their flagship wine, coming off 50 year old vines? I am in...had to crack my Judge. Love how they moved to fewer varietals this time.
This has more depth than The Last Word - likely because it was not co-fermented. The nose & palate is a mix of sagebrush, licorice, blackcurrant & chocolate - dusted in spicy, balsamic notes. Can i say...I love the wood here - keep doing this, please - big fan of this toast.
Also, great broad shoulder bottle w/double punt & could easily double for a weapon. 😂

Put this up against a Nota Bene of the same vintage; the Nota was better.

Decanted an hour.
Bold yet elegant black fruits, baking spice, herbaceous, chocolate, soft vanilla, cigar humidor, a good quality leather boot.
