Nose: Outstanding deep blackberry, loamy earth, graphite and herb notes. Some floral notes, but dark perfumed fruit dominates. Palate: Gorgeous attack of deep blackberry, blueberry and cassis with green tobacco, cedar, graphite and leather notes. Slightly creamy and coiled still. Finish: Layered and long. Years to go on this, and the quality is outstanding.
This is a great wine, and punches well above its weight class. Winemaking team is the same as Lynch Bages, and in 89 that quality really shows up. Excellent Pauillac

This is just excellent! Had at Cordeillan Bages restaurant. At it's very peak right now. Dark brick colour, intense nose, complex on the palate, medium-long finish, fully mature. Drink now.

Definitely not as bad as Parker or as good as Suckling. This wine is on the down slope, but still holding its own. Last bottle and that's probably a good thing. Great nose, cork crumbled, nice garnet color, but flavor is a bit faded.

Drank with lunch at the Chateau over 3 hours. Very fresh nose of smoke, wet stones, dark fruit and earth. The palate matched and was bright with red fruit. Medium finish. I assume this was the best possible example of this wine.

You wouldn't be able to guess the age of this beauty if asked blind. Still very fresh, vivid and lively, deep garnet with remarkable tertiary aroma nose and juicy, fresh palate combined with the notes of a maturing claret - especially dried fruit, forrest, barnyard smoke. A role model of a mature Bordeaux! Cheers!
