  • Bright red berry fruit, a touch of sweet spice, and a nice backbone of acidity. Very enjoyable.

  • Kind of light in body and wispy in the way I initially characterized Willamette Pinots, but you do have some lovely sous bois and spice box notes underneath. I wish for a bit more body as this felt a tad dilute.

  • Day 2. I bought these by mistake - I thought I was getting 18 Durant but I wasn't paying attention :( Light and pure nose of cranberry, red florals, sandalwood, a pretty herlbal-savory-green note, and a bit of red and dark spices. The palate is similar with tart red fruits like cranberry and wild strawberry. The savory note shows itself to be Gilman's "game bird". This wine has a nice sweetness and perfume underneath the tartness and bright acid. This is lithe and clear and crunchy. This shows some seve and the finish has it too - crisp and pure and sweet and gamey with a final note of wood and sandalwood. I paid $30 for these (doh!) but at $25 this is quite a Pinot. Nose - 4.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5-5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1-1.5/2 = 15.5-16.5/20.

  • Very, very expressive nose. On the palate it evolves fairly quickly through the first couple of hours, alternating jammy and tart phases. This is a thoroughly enjoyable and joyous wine.

Edit: this is just fantastic after a couple of hours, and even more so on day 2. Supple, layered, and very very tasty. A "one more glass" kind of wine.

  • Bright fruity nose with just a bit of loam; lip-smacking cran-raspberry palate, bit of spice through the finish, nice balance. Tasty!
