92+ just like the Via Nuova... but Nuova could be a 93 ? still a baby

medium ruby with hint of brown

The wine shows aromas of dark cherry, smoke, meat, rose petals, slate stones, ...

Palate is mild and soft, with well integrated tannins, almost a certain sweetness to it, on a totally different style as the Via Nuova... A bit of alcohol still there. Long lingering aftertaste but quite ethereal...

I have no preference within the 2 wines, although they are so complementing each other !

Always tricky to have a fair opinion about the La Morra wines where the subtlety and refinement make the Nebbiolo feel a bit weak sometimes :)

I ll keep it but it is really good now already

  • another visit to Piemonte :))) (All around Barolo, and Cannubi stay): The Reserve 2015 is 92+ at this stage to me... when this one shows great potential but a little less than 2015 so far

The Bricco Francesco is a higher part of Annunziata, giving an extra cellaring potential probably

The nose is classic balsamic and menthol, eucalypt and herbs...

Palate is sapid, salty, with great balance between acid and tannins, great body and fresh making it still very approachable and easy to drink now ...

Drink now for a year or so and then forget it for at least 5 more years... It ll shut down between its 7/12 years of age certainly 2038
