For the $40 price, worth the try, but even with a Coravin this was best the first night and it got lazier and confected with additional pour over nearly a week. It showed a mature nuttiness with touches of caramel and baked apple with nice grip. Over time it became too sweet-tasting with a sense of marshmallow at times, but still good. I think this is a PnP and could work well with sushi and, on the other end of the spectrum, some select hard cheeses.

A business lunch (Restaurant Vineum, Rotterdam, NL): Amazing quality for vintage and terroir, mature but lively appearance, completely fresh, slender and elegant style, clean and cool, stony minerality, refined tertiary development, a great surprise.

Nose: stone fruit, lemon rind. Not a generous aroma, rather quiet. Palate: heavy on the tongue but not the least bit sweet. Lemon oil, barest hint of hazelnut. Super long finish, it’s like it never ends. Serious and seriously good wine.

No premox here, just what I love in maturing white Burg. Good acids, just a touch of vanillin oak, rich pear fruit accented with hazelnut. Long, refreshing chalky finish. Fingers crossed other bottle shows as well A-/B+
