Do I need to say I like Henri Germain ? This is old school Meursault, like Dominique Lafon wines from 2000 to 2010. They are old school fat butt, thick, concentrated, sappy, and end in a take no prisoners finish. This wine should be drunk young, I am not sure it has the acidity to live a very long life, and anyway, as it is for the hedonists, who cares ?

Some smoky mineral action along with ripe peach and aniseed spice. It is plump and fleshy, with sappy fruit intensity and nice mineral cut. Everything is in check and the finish is long and satisfying. Drinking very well as a youngster.

Bright, crisp, and light - citrus and stone aromatics, pale in color, seemingly weightless, quietly persistent in intensity - all of which contributed to a surprisingly subtle, elegant drinking experience.
Tart citrus and faint mineral notes lingered long in the mouth.
Rated +1 on a scale of -1 to +3.
