Gold. Nose was lychee, rose, lovely Gewurztraminer nose. Taste was VT level sweetness. Rich, mouthfilling, a hint of the gewurz bitterness on the end that plays well with the sweetness. Yum.

My first exposure to Alsatian Gewürtz so I didn't know what to expect. tasted blind and I didn't take notes but it was sort of like walking through a field of geraniums ! on the palate rich and sweet- roses petals and peaches with spicy notes. I liked it a lot.

nose: very sweet nose which is odd as I was expecting a dry gewuztraminer. Its a pleasant nose of apricot, lime, and honey comb. The color is a bit dark for what you'd expect from a dry gewuztraminer, so it is a tip off to this being a desert wine
taste: a lot of heat and acidity and the flavors are a bit disjointed. Some apricot, lime and spice, but the heat is really searing the palate
overall: this just isn't all that good. The nose is nice, but the feel on the palate is just not working and there is just too much heat on it

This was okay. Had this at a group dinner with Chinese food. I prefer the HUGEL Gewurst over this one. This was similar, but had an unusual flavor profile that no one could quite nail down. Whether the proper descriptor is "minerality" or was it "citrus". The sweetness level was a bit too much for my tastes. I'd put it on par with, say, a Spatlese Riesling.

this is VILE. it has a harsh chemical odor and taste, is horribly out of balance, high sugar, low acid, hig alcohol... really bad...
