Decanted and drank over 3h. Medium garnet, nose with licorice and some dark fruit, attack not very expressive, bitter on the mid-palate, relatively short finish. 45 min upon opening dry tannins become rather prominent. I think this has some upside potential once the tannins soften and the bitterness perhaps goes, but not sure there is enough substance to become a really good bdx. 87+

Wakefield Liquors Bordeaux Tasting (Store Four): $25. This would be good on its own, but didn't really show a whole lot better then the Chabiran before it at half the price. In a couple years, that may change, as this was pretty tannic and not all that forecoming. A solid wine, but I'd like it to be about $5 less.

A solid red from Medoc. Classic cabernet nose and palatte, still young but pretty smooth after a 2-hr decant.

Clevens Bordeaux (Conference room): Rich, modern red. Good fruit. Some grippy tannins. Nice.
