Selosse Millesime Vertical 1995-2009: Very similar to 02 with a slightly heavier weight. Still very focused, the mixture of freshness and maturity is very well balanced. Fantastic.

Very nice nose on grilled pine nuts and candied fruits.
Honey on the palate but extraordinarily fresh. The juice is textured, on a mixture of chalk and pear in the mouth. It is an incredible density while being loose, the wine is serene and the unfolding of an incredible aromatic palette with truffles, coffee, fresh pastries, dried flowers, a hint of curry ...
Nice finish on nuts, with a great salty and chalky length. Great champagne.

2nd Champagne Club; 11/4/2019-11/5/2019 (Les Crayeres Reims): not blind, from magnum the most amazing flight I've ever had, together with Salon 1959 Magnum. Typical Selosse nose after roasted pine nuts. Honey, unbelievable freshness, developing with evrey Minute. Should be decanted for2 hours, at least from this size. 98+

When do you get the chance to try the 95 Selosse for a second time? The comparison between the two bottles was striking. Two years ago, the bottle I had was super fresh, sizzling with acidity and deep as the Mariana Trench. This bottle was more advanced showing a bit more nutty tones, a warmer fruit profile, and denser creaminess on the palate. The beauty with this bottle was that despite my thoughts on it showing a bit older, it was still killer. This bottle was like a Daguerreotype, the first bottle I tried was like a SLR.

Bubbles and Harold's (Chicago, IL): Beautiful gold colour. The nose is just the same -- golden. I almost detected a hint of botrytis? No, that can't be right... Massively rich and concentrated on the palate as you'd expect. Baked apples and fresh bread. With air, this becomes even bigger. Chalky texture on the palate too. I would decant these an hour or two in a wide decanter before serving. They become even more expressive. To say that this finishes long is an understatement.
