Bought on release, stored at 55 degrees, elegant, dark ruby, drinking beautifully, dark cherry, cranberry, spice, long finish, very burgundian, Cote de Nuit, wish I had more

Smooth as silk, totally integrated, with a lovely finish, but not to my mind superior to the standard RRV of the same year. Hoping it improves with a day's rest.

More or less consistent with previous bottles in terms of fruit and aromatics, but this one showed some volatile acidity from the get go, and never fully got past it over the course of a couple of hours. So it goes.

Beautifully tasting wine still with lots of fruit, slight tannin and long velvety finish. Wine is drinking very nicely now but seems like could still go another year or two in cellar while still peaking.

I had this wine 4 years ago and rated it a 95. It was delicious. I saw this same wine come up on winebid.com and grabbed it. Much to my disappointment, this bottle was very much faded on the first day. I wrote the review and gave it an 88. However, on the second day it was better. There was still some left on the third day and I was prepared for it to be all alcohol and pour it out but it was actually better the third day than either of the two previous days. I didn't gas it or do anything to preserve it in any way other than to keep it in a two bottle Eurocave product that keeps the wine at serving temperature. By the third day it was more like a 93. So I felt compelled to revise my note and give it a combined score.
