Interesting bottle variation of this mid-range claret. My last bottle of this was excellent. This one was quite flat after the same 24hr decant. The nose is consistently good, but the palate here was thin. Looking forward to the next bottle.

I don't know if this was a particularly good bottle or the 24hr decant did wonders for this wine, but this was beautiful with roast lamb shoulder this evening. Bold Pomerol nose, same as previous TN. Palate however was wonderfully smooth and rounded this evening, much better than previous bottles. Rich, ripe red fruits, spiced plum compote and a peppery lingering finish. Not bad!

Classic Pomerol nose, blackcurrant, cassis and austere barnyard leather. Merlot-heavy blend but age gives this some character. Stewed plum, drying raisins, vanilla and cigar box on the palette. Short, civilised finish, pepper tingles but dies quickly. Tasty, not overly complex, good value. 89-90
