Archetypal Pomerol - Merlot dominates. The texture, especially the midpalate, is plush, full and velvety. Cocoa and bitter chocolate flavors wrap a dark plum core, totally resolved tannins, utterly outstanding in absolute terms and with food. Ridonkulous QPR.

Medium nose shows rose petals, red plum, forest floor, coffee, red cherry, very nice freshness that surprises for it's age. Palate matches, lovely layers and structure, juicy acidity carries gorgeous fruit of dried red plum, milk chocolate, fresh sage, mushroom, blackberry, fig, smooth medium tannins and medium plus finish shines. Shocked at the low price when I looked it up, what a bargain. Drinking great now and has time left too.

alas my last bottle...on each and every occasion this was such pleasurable wine! This bottle was most suave in a way that the nose was starting to give marvelous secondary elements, the tannin is fully resolved into the suave textured beauty. The only thing is that it could have longer finish and reverberation, but hey what can you ask more for such price? Still remember paying 24$ a bottle. Gorgeous blueberry, leather, hint of thyme, and starting to show the wet earth/soil element. If you see this bottle at '00, do not hesitate and get it.

On every occasion this wine is a stunner. It surprises everyone by its elegant, suave yet full and generous texture. Voluptuous fruit mingle with just enough cigar box, dark chocolatey aromas and mocha flavor. I couldn't recommand enough, and in fact, I am reloading up. I hope the next case would be just as consistent, but each bottle was a full satistaction provider! Ready now and for the next 10 years.

This was a couple of great, great bottles of wine. One of those which satisfies way beyond your expectation. Opened 3 hours prior to tasting, the aroma was of very sweet, round mocha chocolaty, and a great concentration of Blueberry and other dark berries. The first palate impression was incredibly suave, full, with yet extremely velvety mid palate, and perfectly balanced wood, integrated tannin, with just all the items a great wine should provide. Great concentration of dark fruit, just right amount of cedar to freshen up, and a touch of spice and licorish, with a long, long satisfying and lingering finish. Parker didn't bother to score it, WS gave 89. If one has to translate into numbers the type of satisfaction that we've all felt at the diner table, it would be a 95 and nothing short of it. It is fully ready to be savoured now, to last 10 more years, and if anyone wishes to purchase a Pomerol, which would up lift your senses, and yet keep your wallet tight, this one is not to be missed! Fantastic.
addenda; Mentioning 'wallet tight' I meant the price I paid; 24$(with tax) a bottle when purchased as future. I am sorry to hear that it now cost 45$ and up...
