More malolactic and less acidity than I would expect from a Chablis. A nice wine but I would have guessed somewhere further south. I would definitely drink again.

Opened and paired with a shredded slaw salad with sausage. Pale, clear, green/yellow color. The subtle nose brings notes of dandelions, tropical guava, kiwi-lime, nectarines, tangerines, and honey. The palate is medium-light, round, oily, and viscous with good weight and texture, bringing oranges, pears, green apples, hints of pineapple, honeysuckle, graham cracker, and soda water into an extended finish. The palate is still hard to discern clearly, but this is an outstanding 1er for the price that will be best 2023-2028. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 93.

Tried this side by side with the 2017 and it (2018) was soundly defeated. The 2017 has more color, depth, and great balance. This 2018 is drinkable but nothing special. Difference is more than 1 yr in the bottle, this just seems a different wine.

Pleasant drinker but seems to be losing some acidity and structure. Drink 2023-2025. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 88.

Drink with Thanksgiving. It was good but nothing special, a little on the light side.
