Notes on the second day open. Dark, inky purple color with big chunky sediment. Medium intensity nose of black licorice, green pepper, roses, maybe a little brett. Quite grippy with tannins and rustic and snappy with acidity. Not sure about the fruit holding up for long so I will get to my last one within a year or two. 5+10+17+7= 89

Very Good+. I really liked this. What a great expression of Loire Cab Franc. LAKE.VINO's TN nails it for me, but I did not get any brett or notable barnyard / animal. A rustic vibe, but this was all about telltale nose and mid-weight expression of perfectly just-ripe fruit.
This is really drinking well already and I can see it easily going to the current CT drinking window consensus ending 2028.

A certain funk on nose suggestive of some Bret. I’m not offended. Herbal tobacco, bell pepper, red raspberry and cherry hints. A bit brambly. Palate balanced with bright acid, deep minerals and some well hidden tannins. Herbal and tobacco and bell pepper really come through along with raspberry. Long finish.

Very nice, but lacking in complexity right now. Nice rich red fruit flavors. It's showing no sign of being too old.
