  • Subsequent notes on this wine from three years ago. Medium deep ruby red in color with ever-so-slight clearing at the edges. Full, forward & fragrant nose of rich, ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, strawberries & raspberries with dried orange rind notes & overtones of cloves & spice notes, earthy/dusty, tea, minerals, herbs, truffles & a slight touch of vanilla. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured & rich, ripe fruit flavors of tart cherries, sweet blueberries & plums with cloves, spices, earthy, mushrooms, minerals, herbs & a hint of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & even at 11 years old, it still has the fruit & structure to maintain for quite a while if cellared properly although any further development may be minimal. An absolutely wonderful Pinot.

  • Very representative of a good wine from Willamette Valley. Big, dense, dark maroon, earthy with plenty of dark berry and blueberry flavor. Rich and layered. Lovely

  • Medium deep ruby red in color. Fragrant, attractive and complex nose of well developed, rich, ripe red fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & raspberries with slight orange rind notes, clove spice, cherry-cola, earthy, black tea, minerals & a touch of vanilla. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of developed, well balanced, smooth textured & well integrated, complex, rich, ripe fruit flavors of tart cherries, sweet blueberries & plums with clove spice, cola, earthy, minerals and a hint of vanilla. Long lingering silky smooth finish. Drinks quite well at present and has the fruit & structure to hold onto its current plateau for longer although any further development would be minimal.

  • Definitely in its prime right now. No sharp edges on this at all. A little big for my preference, but as this sat it really balanced out. Initially this is pretty fruit-forward (strawberry and raspberry), but as it opens up a little of the earthy funk comes through showing some minerality and spice. Drink within the next 2 years

  • In a good spot. The mix of the Dijon and Wadenswil grapes makes this a unique and complex wine. Medium-Full bodied, lovely tart-cherry nose. Some mineral and earth components mix well with the briary fruits. Drink now - 2015.
