  • Immediate distinct cab franc floral and mineral nose. Relatively light color. Quite tannic. Impressive tart cherry, cranberry and raspberry fruit. Delicate yet surprisingly mouth filling for such a light colored medium bodied wine. Some serious balancing acidity. Cherry finish. I think this is 100% Cab Franc. They don’t make a whole lot of this, and not much if any usually makes it to Columbia, SC, so this was a treat.

  • Quite heavy for a Loire red. Distinct benefit from decanting

Sharp red fruit, a litle pencil lead onthe back. Moderate acidity

  • Very delicious and direct. Crisp, floral and a little grippy upon opening then with a brief decant you have a wine that is so charming and very much open for business - aromas of thyme, oregano and fresh soil and on the palate you've got a medium bodied wine with very well integrated tannins and flavors of black cherries, blackberries, liquorice and what my wife described as "meat" and so I asked "dried meats like sausages or something, or bloody beef?" and she replied "bloody". so there's that. For me, not so bloody. Drink now and for the next few years.
