Beautiful copper color. Crisp but full bodied Pinot grigio with citrus notes and pleasant minerality. Great example of a balanced orange wine. Excellent value at ~$20.

Albino Armani - A Revelatory Pinot Grigio Experience: Bright and beautiful copper color with aromatic, peach, apricot, Meyer lemon zest, and dried flower aromas. On the palate it's medium-bodied, and an appealing hint of tannins and a vibrant, saline acidity with peach, apricot, pineapple, Meyer lemon and pink grapefruit flavors. Vinified in the ancient (Ramato) style with extended cold maceration on grape skins. Fermented on native yeast and raised in stainless steel with and wood with contact on its own less until bottling. 12.5% abv| SRP - $21.99

Billed as top of the line Pinot Gris from this producer, at least at my local Total Wine store. Agree with R2 D2 notes. Varietally correct. You don't have to be a level 1 Somm to guess this is a Pinot Gris. Color is more intense, copper-tinged due to more skin contact. It results in a fuller bodied textured wine. I thought the mid palate was more intense, yellow fruited, pine-appleish. Definitely a step above their other offerings which are also good. But the question is, is it worth the extra price? Will have to do more drinking, er ... research to answer that. (As always, the answer is always influenced by how fat your wallet is.)

Slight peachy-orange tinge (skin contact) in color. Typical PG notes, but more refined with some body and added complexity. Still, nothing I would seek out.

More complex than the other two valdadige examples from this producer. A little more grassy as well as creamy aspects. But the 2018 $12.50 valdadige was real close.

Guess the Varietal (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA): Tasted blind. Correctly identified as Pinot Grigio.
