Decanted - no sediment This has overwhelming notes of dry, dusty minerals, with pencil lead. Tart dark fruits and cigar tobacco. Too dry for her taste, bareley okay by me. Tough wine to love for me, but others seem to have a very different opinion. Did I get a bad couple of bottles??

Be sure to decant this for 2-3 hours if drinking now. It definitely took time for the wine to open up. It was probably at its best about 5-6 hours into the evening. We poured 1/4 of the wine into a 375ml bottle and held for 24 hours. It was starting to fade, but there are always variables when transferring wine like that. Overall, we enjoyed it.

Much better for this second bottle.
Did a year make that much difference?
Acidity is more balanced. Dry spice, aromatic tones, good fruit.
Nice.

Lovely, meaty, earthy, black fruit, gripping tannins and long finish… Another great Sarao from Adam.
