  On the nose: stewed fruit, leather, sweet jam like (especially strawberry and blueberry).
  On the palate a flavor profile with smooth and rounded tannins, initially filling the palate with strawberry and raspberry fruit and finishing with a strong sense that this wine has structure. That being said the mid-palate is somewhat hollow and while there is power in the finish there is a distinct lack of deliciousness that would put this over the top.

  Started with low expectations. Started simple. Not as dark or rich as I expected. Simple pleasant fruit at the beginning. Over time it transformed into quite an interesting wine with maybe a little bitter in the finish. I would drink again but this was my last bottle.

  Disappointing! Was expecting rich deep extract per a previous example I tried a few years ago. Then it was a startlingly unusual wine. I approached this with high expectations therefore and was met with a med bodied rather dried out wine with fast fading fruit. It was way overpriced.

  Caroline Wine Shop - Italy (Carolines Wine Shop): 14.5% alcohol; Deep ruby in colour with a pink rim the bouquet seems evolved and displays truffles, melted tar, hung game and Marmite.
  Full-bodied, the wine has depth and intensity without the concentration and for 14l5% isn't that rich, coming across as stringy and lacking material, density and mass. Dry, firm exit but it seems disappointing for Amarone Della Valpolicella.
