A new wine for me. Some heat on the palate, with bittersweet chocolate, cherries, some lively acidity and a tart finish with some grippy edges. Travis said the wine loosened as the dinner went on but I don't have a follow-up note. Was good but seemed young.

Fall Bachanalia (Green Dolphin St, Chicago IL): nose: great nose of black fruits, violets, black currants and dark cherry tones
taste: firm tannins, but balanced flavors filled with black fruits, violets, black currants, and dark cherries
overall: an outstanding syrah with great balance and fruit with good aromatics. Firm and full with a nice black fruited attack and dark cherry finish
