Unusual blend of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Vermentino from California. My first impression was that this tasted like a big ripe Cote de Beaune white Burgundy. It's actually reminiscent of a Louis Latour Corton Charlemagne I had recently. The Louis Latour was somewhat more complex, fuller, concentrated, just "more", but the resemblance is there.
Interestingly, checking the tasting notes from Turley's website, they write "Enticing white Burgundy-esque nose of citrus blossoms, white stones, and lemon curd". I couldn't have said it better myself.
I differ from them on the description of the wine in the mouth though. Acidity levels are medium at best, enough to keep the whole package fresh, but it's still leaning a bit fat. Flavors of lemon curd and yellow apples as well as tropical notes of pineapple. There is oak derived vanilla notes on the back end that actually compliment the whole package pretty nicely. Finish is medium in length, very pleasant. The label states only 13.5% ABV, but it feels rather full to me- I would have predicted higher.
Overall, I like this very much. Even though I usually prefer leaner wines in a Chablis-esque mold, there is certainly a place for this from time to time. It's well made, very tasty, and I think would appeal to a wide swath of drinkers. In my opinion, it's hitting it's stride right now.

This is the best vintage I have had of this wine in the many years I have been drinking it. Nice crisp flavors and back hit of oak, adding another dimension. Tasty!

Easy drinking wine. We consumed over two nights. A bit flabby but hits the spot.

It was fine. Might be a little too old.
