  • As a basic domaine rosé this is perfectly OK, but nothing special. and it evolves rapidly with air.

On first opening the nose is a bit "bubblegum rosé" and the palate, particularly on the finish, is a bit bitter. However, with 15 minutes or so air things sort themselves out. The nose is still somewhat on the sweet side, notes of ripe strawberries and candy. These follow to the palate which also displays a certain amount of alcohol heat (14.5% is a bit OTT for a rosé for my taste), but is otherwise quite well balanced with a nice bite to balance the fruit. However over a further 30-45 minutes there's more evolution: the acid fades and the palate becomes just a little cloying. There's still some heat on the finish.

I don't think this is a repeat buy for me at the US$13 I paid.
