BTG. Floral and spiced, this is wonderfully rich and ripe, yet perfectly proportional. I could easily have been convinced this is a top Pomerol from a ripe vintage.

Nose showed lots of chocolates covered cherries, mocha and some sweet black fruit with hints of spice. Palate showed plenty of structure with layers of dark cherry, cocoa, and hints of cedar, spice, earth and tobacco. Later, it added notes of dark fruit and sweet oak. Delicious! Would rate in the mid 90s, but will improve with time in the cellar. This would be difficult not to open early, as it is pretty darn good now! (95+ if rating today, but will definitely get better!)

Drank this as part of the Decanter at Home tasting series. This has to be the most approachable set of 2018’s I have ever tasted. Clearly very young and many years (decades) to hit their potential, but this is surprisingly drinkable now. Too young to rate but will be high nineties….
Dark color, freshness and intensity spring from the glass, red fruited nose, chalky gritty tannins that are somehow still smooth and plush. Wonderful acidity, juicy fruit and a long long finish
